Environmental Commitment

Over the past year, bds mktg has made an active commitment to better the environment and has encouraged our employees to do the same. We have implemented a variety of environmentally responsible initiatives in an effort to make a positive impact on the environment. bds has also introduced measures and practices to encourage the success of these initiatives company-wide.

A few milestones as of today:

  • Replaced all lighting at our corporate building with
    high-efficiency bulbs
  • Saved 120 trees in 2007 through our Shred-it®
    paper recycling program
  • Cut our potential land fill usage in half by reducing our
    waste bins
  • Placed recycling bins for bottles and cans throughout
    the building
  • Eliminated paper coffee cups by providing reusable mugs
    to each employee
  • Encourage each employee to make a conscientious effort to reduce the amount of energy they use each day

Working Wardrobes

Working Wardrobes is bds’ charity of choice. As our commitment to people extends to those in our community, we are proud supporters of this organization, which provides a fresh start to those in crisis. Working Wardrobes teaches work skills, such as resume writing and interviewing skills, as well as provides a complete wardrobe of work attire to participants. Together, these tools assist the participants in regaining self-esteem, preparing them to successfully rejoin the workforce. National Center for Missing & Exploited Children

Through our continued partnership with Canon over the past 10 years, bds has extended our community support to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC). NCMEC provides for and spearheads national efforts to locate and recover missing children; raises public awareness about ways to prevent child abduction, endangerment, and sexual exploitation; and actively trains professionals in law enforcement and other professions that work with children.
